SD. The biggest classroom in Santo Domingo's University (Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo) suited up to reward the winners of the second edition of the "Golden @" contest. The big winner of the night was www.aguilucho.com website. 

Using one of the most important rewards in USA and latin america, "Grupo Omnimedia" gives recognition to the websites that contribute to the development of the internet. 

"Diario Libre" -Newspaper's- director Adriano Miguel Tejada performed the ceremoniy's opening and declared: "Grupo Omnimedia knows the enormous potential internat has. Not only we think of it like an entertainment and information relay, but also like a tool for administration and marketing where the markets have no borders". 

Fabricio Altamirano, president of "Arroba de Oro Internacional" -Golden @ International- explained the basic elements used to qualify a website: design, navigation, content and creativity, and also told that each of those were being narrowed down to three to five criterias.  

Each winner of each category or special prizes received the "Golden @" little statue, blessed with a modern design. The base is carved out of marble and the head plunged in 24 carats gold. 

Besides the golden statue, the big winner received an incentive in cash of US$ 5,000.00 and US$ 20,000.00 worth in products from the sponsors of the contest. 

50 experts from 17 countries observed by "BDO Internacional" firm -which has 95 years of experience dealing with clients from 600 offices in 105 countries- were reunited to evaluate the contestants.
